Q1: Is your Tester suitable for Production?
Absolutely. It’s a script based high speed testing which carries out an unlimited number of tests in sequence. The focus is on giving very powerful and flexible testing methods with extreme ease. There is also a provision for looping a test, for a specific number of times and saving First, Last, Min, Max, Average, Difference between first and last measurement reading for analysis. The script can be directly edited in text editor or can be easily edited in Graphical User Interface (GUI), giving a flatter learning Curve for test engineers. For test operators it’s amazingly easy.
Special attention is on Test reports and Data logging. This will provide a clear picture of the assembly process with parameters like Cp, Cpk.
Also, there is STDF interface to connect all major device handlers to this Tester. If needed by the customer other interfaces will also be provided.
Q2: What different models are available for IGBTs and MOSFETs?
Please fill out the maximum voltage and maximum current required in the REQUEST FOR QUOTE form for each category of AC, DC and maximum voltage in case of Isolation.
Please note the max voltage and the max current may not be in the same device. If possible, please send the datasheets of all devices to be tested. Our team will suggest the most suitable model based on the specifications provided.
Q3: Does this Tester provide non-destructive testing?
The Gate Driver card is high speed closed loop circuit which controls current through the device, Rate of change of current (di/dt), Rate of change of voltage (dv/dt). So, in normal testing the device is protected, but the test engineer can override safety measures to destroy the device for analysis.
Q4: What safety measures are in place?
Safety interlocks are provided by which the voltage is switched off if the test bay is open. A red-light floods inside whenever high voltage is present on the device. Also, an emergency stop switch is mounted and easily reachable on the front panel.
